Ansamble observes different dynamics within the “Studio for Contemporary Dance”, dance ensemble that has been active in Zagreb for 55 years now.\
How does mutual connection function and maintaining joint dance expressions between members of the ensemble in a present context, in which bigger and bigger insecurity is conditioned by economic and social tendencies? In structures such as ensemble, stability, continuity and long-term present fundamental values, but insecurity, on the other hand, demands agility, multitasking, adjustment. Orientation on short-term projects and superficial collaborations. How does it manifest on the work dynamics of this dance ensemble? Which creation and performance strategies are used in the efforts to maintain “ensamble” – community and deeper connection between performers?
